Brad has always been active in the automotive performance world shifting easily between the roles of driver, crew chief, teacher, and coach. Some of his background racing credits include a Solo 1 Rookie of the Year title, a 2nd in Class season finish and a 5th in the Solo overall standings, driving a Porsche 911 and VW Golf VR6. During the 1988 Rothmans Turbo Cup series he crewed for the Pfaff Porsche/POP 84 team, winning the Team Title along with his colleagues for Pfaff Porsche. The same year he graduated from the Advanced Porsche Driving School and followed this up with a year as one of the school’s technical consultants. In 1989 Brad began running track events for Pfaff Porsche, VW and Audi customers. 1992 and ’93 saw Brad take on the role of Crew Chief for Pfaff Racing, running a Jetta GLX 16v, and claiming one victory in their first season with a brand new car. The following year the team finished 3rd in the overall team championship. In his second year as a crew chief, Brad led the team to a 3rd in class finish in their first 24 hours of Mosport with a VW Corrado VR6. In 1996 Brad graduated from the Bridgestone Racing School and went on to co-found the Driver for a Day sports car driving experience which presented track events for avid drivers and company events at Mosport and Shannonville. In addition to his current role as one of the directors of the Apex driving school, Brad also works alongside Gerry at The Tire Spa.
